Susan Faludi

Susan Faludi’s Stiffed is peerless. Absolutely outstanding journalism and a quick sense of irony make this the only treatise on feminism that I’d recommend. It’s thorough, it’s clever, it’s insightful, and it’s fun.

If you’re the type of person who thinks Eldridge overstated his case when describing the problems of American men in Wild at Heart, here’s the evidence he was on track.

For book-club people, it would be a great Part 2 in a trilogy with that started with Fight Club (the movie; not the book) and ended with A Man in Full.

It’s essential reading for anyone interested in contemporary American gender issues.
