- The Godfather
- The Bridge to Terebithia
- The Man in the Iron Mask (any version)
- The Three Musketeers (almost any version – Dumas’ plots are much more fun in 90 minutes than in 400 pages)
- Fight Club
- The Rainmaker
- Ivanhoe
What 3 books would you take if stranded on a desert island? The answer: all you’ve ever read, but maybe not in the form you’d want.
These are memory reviews.
9’s and 10’s: My life is richer for having read them, probably several times.
7’s and 8’s affected me strongly, but I’m not confident that I’d feel the same way about them if I were to read them at another point in life.
3’s to 6’s: Maybe enjoyable once, but only once. Maybe had some value, but not to my taste. Probably not regrettable, but not worth a return trip.
1’s and 2’s: Don’t waste your life.
